Singer from Brazil, born in 1940.
She became famous in the early 1960s through a recording of the Bossa Nova hit “The Girl from Ipanema”, performing alongside Stan Getz and João Gilberto (whom she was married to at that time).

On the 23 of december the dwarse Fluiters of blaasmere.nl played at the SBS6 Kerstparade in Almere. Blaasmere.nl is the only place in Flevoland where talants are developped that way and with such a high quality musically result. The dwarse Fluiters played 25 concerts in 2008.
Folks…this is as cool as a video gets because it captures it all in one (the cool, west coast jazz, bossa nova, mid-century style and archetecture, lounge & vocal talent)!!! I fell instantly in love with the bossa nova sound while working at a record store at age 15…and of course like many, this is the song that sealed the deal. This is a clip taken form the 1964 movie “Get Yourself A College Girl”
